Gaye Dell

Gaye is a specialist in mixed media paint and ink taking her inspiration from the rainforests of Tamborine Mountain, Australia. She has BA’s in Art, Education and Literature and is a full-time painter of local flora and fauna.

After living in the United States for half her life, Gaye chose Tamborine Mountain as her home and inspiration in 2004.

She has also published 11 books for children and wrote, illustrated
and provided the graphic design for all of them.

She taught Art to primary and secondary school children, then Graphic Design/Marketing principles at a university level. She owned an Advertising Agency catering to a varied client base for over 20 years.

In her early years, Gaye represented Australia in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games and is a proud owner of a silver medal for the 100m hurdles in Christchurch, 1974. She’s a little slower these days.
